AIRPURION Sterile Fridge
The innovative two-in-one AIRPURION STERILE FRIDGE active system is the only system that combines safe UV disinfection and odor elimination in cold rooms:
- Disinfection of the air by UVC light - state of the art disinfection technology
- Odor elimination by PHOTOCATALYTIC OXIDATION through titanium dioxide surfaces activated by UVA light.
The AIRPURION STERILE FRIDGE System:
- extends the shelf life of stored food
- operates entirely without chemicals
- meets the highest HACCP requirements as the only system with special shatter protection through UV-transmissive coating (no mercury release in case of lamp breakage)
- allows continuous operation as it is a closed system with active air intake
- various options to monitor disinfection performance
- virtually maintenance-free

THE INNOVATIVE AIRPURION STERILE FRIDGE ACTIVE TWO-IN-ONE APPROACH:
1st stage: sustainable UVC disinfection
Active air circulation by fan and air disinfection by UVC light (260 nm wavelength) in the first chamber.
- Short-wave UVC radiation has a strong germicidal effect. UVC uses the photolytic effect for this, whereby the microorganisms are destroyed or inactivated by radiation, which prevents them from multiplying further.
- When disinfecting, these effects occur at wavelengths below 320 nm, with the optimum at approx. 260 nm.
- UVC radiation is the only verifiable chemical-free disinfection technology - used by hospitals and research institutions
Result:
- Sustainable air disinfection
- Elimination of bacteria and viruses
2nd stage: Photocatalytic oxidation
Disinfected air is fed into the 2nd chamber and the air is treated with photocatalytic oxidation using UVA light
- Special UVA light activates titanium dioxide surface
- This creates highly reactive hydroxyl radicals
- These highly reactive radicals attach themselves to volatile carbon compounds - the main source of odor pollution.
- This breaks down the volatile carbon compounds into harmless components such as carbon dioxide and water and eliminates the odor pollution
Result:
- Elimination of volatile carbon compounds
- Elimination of odors
