Solutions for the surface area

The microorganisms found on surfaces are in principle accessible to UV rays. However, the success of surface disinfection depends heavily on the surface irregularity of the material to be disinfected. UV radiation can only inactivate the germs that are directly reached by the radiation.

In practice, solid surfaces, granular materials and packaging (plastic, glass, metal, cardboard, foil, etc.) can be disinfected or kept germ-free by intensive, direct radiation. High-intensity short-wave UV radiation is therefore generally required for surface disinfection. UV lamps must therefore often be mounted just above the surfaces that need to be kept free of infection or disinfected.

Once disinfected, surfaces and articles can be kept germ-free by UV irradiation during further processing, as the germ content of the air is greatly reduced by the simultaneous air irradiation.
The protection of the operating personnel is easily achieved by shielding the system.

At the end of their service life, the lamps can be easily replaced.
