Thanks to a special UVC-permeable coating, if the lamp or the quartz protection tube breaks, no glass splinters can get into the irradiation room or the medium to be treated. Thanks to the innovative “PURION process”, this technology has been further improved. The splinter protection is only used for the quartz protection tube. This enables optimal UV-C yield and good usage properties.

The splinter protection is particularly important for use in food production and processing.
