REFERENCE "MARINE AQUARIUM ZELLA-MEHLIS"
For more than 20 years, the Zella-Mehlis marine aquarium has been offering a unique opportunity to experience exotic underwater worlds on a viewing area of approx. 7,800 square meters. Around 2,500 animals of more than 200 species can be observed.
The shark tanks with capacities of 100,000, 250,000 and one million liters are a particular highlight. It is possible to observe the feeding of eleven shark species all year round.
The separate crocodile house is accessible via a bridge and is home to alligators and crocodiles up to 3.5 m in length. You can also watch the feeding from April to September.
The outdoor area designed as a koi park with three koi ponds and the "aquamaehlis" restaurant round off a visit to the Zella-Mehlis marine aquarium.
