The entire system is installed in an aluminum box. The dimensions are 600 x 270 x 380 (L x H x W in mm). Thanks to its extraordinary efficiency, high drinking water throughput of 400 l/h, small dimensions and low weight, the "PURION Tropenbox passive" is ideal for both acute and long-term use in regions with severe drinking water problems.

Thanks to their low energy consumption, they can be operated for up to 20 hours with the integrated rechargeable battery. The battery can be charged using a solar panel, plug-in power supply unit or vehicle cigarette lighter.

The systems are designed for an irradiation dose of 400 J/m², which guarantees a disinfection rate of 99.99% if the specified flow rate is not exceeded.
