We, PURION GmbH, are a European company with a global orientation, and with our new and further developments of innovative UV systems we contribute to improving the quality of the most important foundations of life. In doing so, we combine ecology and economy. Our innovative systems meet all the requirements of the discerning user for high-performance, easy-to-use and cost-effective water, air and surface treatment systems.
Modular design
At PURION, we basically follow the concept of modular construction. This means that customers can easily combine individual segments from our range (e.g. disinfection systems with sand filter systems) to create a system that meets their individual requirements.
Extensive services
We provide engineering services, in particular project planning and design work, for a wide variety of tasks in the environmental and especially in the water technology and air sector, such as
- Process development for problem cases submitted to PURION
- Project planning, design and construction of water treatment plants
- Process tests and analytical evaluations.
The extensive know-how of our engineers, with design experience in plant construction and in the water sector, is our success in the proper processing and solution of problems that arise.

As part of the "AreaLight" project, PURION GmbH intends to research innovative solutions for UVC disinfection of air and ventilation systems with the help of flexible light-emitting glass fiber hybrid fabrics.
The main objective is the development and application-oriented verification of light-emitting glass fibers.
As a result, the possibility of continuous self-disinfection of filters, ducts and hoses using glass fibers is envisaged.

Purion GmbH intends to initiate a joint research project for the development of novel FAR-UV radiation sources with an emission wavelength around 222 nm for efficient room air and surface disinfection in the presence of people.
This requires concept development, partner acquisition, market and technology studies and the preparation of a project outline.
The tasks involved in realizing this goal are
- the development of the detailed tasks of the project and
- support in the acquisition of suitable project partners.
The aim is to submit a project outline for an R&D cooperation project on the "Development of novel FAR-UV radiation sources"
